“Seeing It From the Other Side: Positive Approach(R) to Brain Change.”
A Positive Approach® journey into the world of dementia with a discussion of what changes with dementia and typical issues that occur from early stages of the condition, through mid-disease and into the final care concerns that are part of the progression. Kathy will share awareness and techniques to help you be an empowered care partner.
Kathy is a Positive Approach(R) to Care Certified Trainer, Mentor and Speaker and the Patient Educator/Outreach Coordinator for the Augusta University Department of Neurology Movement and Memory Disorder Program. She earned her BA and MA from Montclair State University (formerly College) NJ.
Kathy has held leadership roles in the assisted living industry as both an executive director and resident relations director. She served as the Program Director for the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter (Augusta) for over 8 years. She currently provides consulting services and trainings in the area of dementia.
