Prior to joining the CE team, Suzanne worked with the Sexual Assault Response Team and the Sexual Assault Student Educators at Georgia Southern University. She prepared for these vocations by serving as a victims advocate with the Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center, where she continues to volunteer. In her spare time, Suzanne also owns her own business, Damsel in Defense, which she uses to equip, empower and educate women in the face of gendered violence.
Suzanne was born in Savannah and raised in Effingham County but has considered Statesboro her home for almost a decade now. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society and has recently begun working with Statesboro’s own Beloved Community.
