Anna Swanson joined Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education team in October of 2017. As Event and Catering Assistant for the Coastal Georgia Center, she manages all aspects of catering for in-house and off-site events in addition to providing us with a unique and advanced event coordination skill set. Anna brings years of experience in and passion for hospitality, tourism and customer service.
For the past 7 years, she has excelled greatly in wedding planning and coordination. Prior to her employment with Georgia Southern University, Anna was a Conference Service Manager and Wedding Coordinator for Lake Lanier Island Resort and Legacy Lodge in north Georgia. She and her husband moved to Savannah in 2012, after which she began managing all private events for Savannah Riverboat Cruises including weddings, reunions, sorority and fraternity formals, and school groups. During her 3 years with Savannah Riverboat, she managed all marketing for the riverboat as a destination wedding venue, tripled their wedding sales revenue and was featured in Savannah Magazine’s “Women In Business” showcase.
Anna is a native of Georgia and currently resides in Rincon with her husband, Mark, and three children Wilhelm, Wyatt and Paisley.
