Assessments

Career Assessments are the recommended first step in the major selection and career decision-making process. Explore your interests, skills, values, and preferences and how they relate to choosing a major or career.

FOCUS2 – Free

Evaluates interests, values, and skills to identify possible occupations that match your personal characteristics. The assessment will take approximately 30 – 45 minutes to complete.

New Users: To take the FOCUS2 assessment, new users visit – https://www.focus2career.com/Portal/Register.cfm?SID=482. To obtain the key code, visit the Handshake Resources Library.

Returning Users: If you have already taken the FOCUS2 assessment and would like to access your information or retake the assessment visit https://www.focus2career.com/Index.cfm.


The following assessments are available to students and alumni for a fee. If you are interested in taking an assessment, please contact the Office of Career and Professional Development at ocpd@georgiasouthern.edu or      912-478-5197 before making your purchase. If you are taking the assessment for a class, please continue to the OCPD Marketplace to complete your purchase.

EQ-i 2.0 – $28

The EQ-i 2.0 is a comprehensive assessment used to measure Emotional Intelligence and can assist students in developing highly desired “soft skills.” Understanding how emotions can impact performance in the workplace is essential for increasing professionalism, success, and satisfaction in one’s career.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) – $20

The MBTI assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.
