eCore

eCore is short for electronic core-curriculum. The eCore program allows University System of Georgia (USG) students the opportunity to take courses within the core during a student’s collegiate career in an online environment. eCore courses are taught entirely online, except for the occasional proctored exam. eCore courses are designed, developed, taught and supported by faculty and staff from different institutions in the University System of Georgia. You can identify eCore courses by the G located within the section (ex. ENGL 1101 01G). Please visit the eCore website for more information, https://ecore.usg.edu/.

Registration and Orientation

Before you can register for eCore courses the first time, you need to complete the eCore Orientation and Quiz. You will receive a PREREQ error if you attempt to register for an eCore course before you complete the eCore Orientation. This orientation gives you very important information regarding what it is like to be an eCore student. The eCore orientation quiz will take approximately 15 minutes. You must know your Georgia Southern Eagle ID number as well as your campus email address to complete the quiz. Please give 1-2 business days after the time you finish the Orientation class for your record to be updated. Once your record is updated, you can log into WINGS to register for the course.

eCore Calendar

eCore courses do not follow the same schedule as Georgia Southern courses. Please review the eCore calendar before proceeding with registration, eCore Calendar.
