Georgia
Southern Admission Application
- When you are accepted into Georgia Southern University, the
advisement center responsible for your major will contact you regarding
scheduling an early advisement appointment. Early advisement can be conducted
over the phone, face-to-face, or through email. If contacted and asked
to return a phone call, please do so at your earliest convenience.
Transfer
Course Equivalencies
- After you have been accepted to Georgia Southern University, you
will receive a credit evaluation detailing what courses will transfer
to Georgia Southern University. For more detailed information about
specific classes that will transfer, please see the Transfer Course
Equivalencies website.

Advisement

You will also need to review the four-year
plan of study for your major and two-year course rotations to consider
what courses you might like to take. This information can be found at http://academics.georgiasouthern.edu/advisement/programs.html.
Finally, be sure to communicate to your new advisor any courses in which
you may be currently enrolled.
Financial Aid -
Financial Aid does not transfer from one institution to another; therefore, you
must cancel any aid you receive at your current institution and re-apply for
financial aid at Georgia Southern University.

Majors and Programs of Study

Lists
by college and department programs of study or curriculum sheets for
each major, showing which courses are needed for the major. Also provides
information on which courses will be taught over the next two years (2-Year
Course Rotations).
Regents' Exam
- All students, including transfer students, graduating from the University System of Georgia (USG) must satisfy the Regents’ Exam. If you have not already satisfied this requirement at your previous institution, you will be registered to take the exam during your first semester at Georgia Southern. Ask your advisor about the exam.
Legislative Requirements
- If you satisfy POLS 1101 and/or HIST 2110 outside the State of Georgia, you may need to take the Georgia History and/or the Georgia Constitution Exam prior to graduating. Speak with your advisor early about the legislative requirement.
